Choosing a company to assist with your IT requirements is an important decision. Getting it right the first time saves time, money and most of all aggravation. It can be difficult to sort through the marketing hype and questionable claims, often leading to a less than desirable outcome.
We understand the problem and have developed a phased approach to assist you in making this critical decision. This has been refined by our experience over the past 20 years, and continues to evolve as we encounter new situations each day.
First is what we call the Educate phase, the time we spend with you learning what you need and how it impacts your environment and you learning about us and how we work.
Second is the Solution phase, where we present what we feel is the best answer to your requirements.
Last is the Implementation phase, where we manage the integration of the solution.
Take a few minutes and review the details of this approach, it can save you hours in the future.
It generally starts with a phone call and later meeting with you and your team in person. Depending on the need, it can be just a few minutes or several hours.
Our goal is a complete understanding of your requirements as well determining whether we can work together effectively.
Listening to you plays a large part in this process. You are the most qualified to explain the problem and how you feel it should be handled. We will ask questions until we both feel comfortable we understand what you want. We try to get as much information about what your organization does, and how the problem impacts its ability to meet business goals.
We may determine our skills are not a good match for your needs and hope you keep us in mind for future projects.
You may determine our approach is not what you are looking for, or just are not comfortable with us. Don't worry we don't take it personally, it's better to make that determination now. It works both ways; we have to have a level of trust to make this work
There may be times when we determine you could save yourself a significant amount of money if you dealt with someone else. We'll tell you and hope you will call us in the future.
Please take a few more minutes and read on.
Based on the information we have and our understanding of your requirements we craft a solution, sometimes more than one, for you to consider.
During this phase we may engage outside resources such as manufacturers to provide additional expertise. Many times we will bring them to meet with you to explain and or demonstrate new technologies.
We look for the most economical way to completely satisfy your requirements. Repurposing existing hardware, modifying a procedure or process, we take the time to determine what if anything can be done to meet your goal with what you already own. It's not the most profitable way of doing business, but we've done it that way for over 20 years and have no intention of changing.
Our solutions are not "brand" exclusive. There are times when it may be a necessity to keep a single manufacturer, but often we use the best of several to arrive at a configuration.
How will the solution interact with your current processes? Trying to avoid unintended consequences is paramount. We never want the solution to generate a new set of problems. It's a lofty goal, and at times probably not attainable, but we do as much as possible.
The solution(s) are presented to you for review. There may be occasions where a "proof of concept" is required, or demonstration equipment is needed, we address that at this point. Where possible we provide the opportunity for you to talk to other customers who have implemented this solution.
Next putting it all together, please read on.
Creating a schedule is the first step in the Integration. We work with you and your staff to determine what resources you need to provide, such as staff, system access and planned downtime. Our goal is move quickly to minimize impact to your operations.
Setting up delivery schedules and selecting a point of contact for direct shipped items. Sometimes this will include software license keys and certificates which must be protected from loss as they generally are not replaceable.
Communication, keeping you constantly informed. In some situations we may be contacting you several times a day.
Monitoring of manufacturers to make sure delivery dates are met.
If the solution requires installation by our staff, we test and generate test results for your review and approval.
Transfer of all ownership documents, manuals and technical documentation
We can assist with equipment and warranty registration if it's required.
In short we do whatever it takes to complete the project on time and on budget. We pay attention to the details and are available for your questions.
Last, your acceptance, and we are ready to start on the next project.
We keep in contact to insure the system is working to your satisfaction, if there are problems we can intervene with the manufacturers on your behalf to insure prompt answers.
